video switch
Not sure where to put this topic, but I've got a production question.
I need to do some simple video switching. I have 2 and may buy one more HV20, and I need to shoot a live show that needs to get converted to a LIVE video stream. So I probably don't need to shoot in HDV, but I will need something, either PC based or external switcher (WHAT DO I BUY?) that is cheap and capable of 3 inputs. Also, what can convert the output to a 240x180 stream to be broadcast live? Cheers, Sterling |
The cheapest solution would be to get an analog mixer (it will likely be used; the cheapest new switchers available are something like $1,600).
e.g. something like a Panasonic MX-50 Do long runs of composite or (preferably) S-video. You can run Svideo by getting adapters to co-axial(2 cables) and doing a run of that. Quote:
Hook that up to a computer with Windows Media Encoder (still free?) or maybe quicktime broadcaster. WME is pretty easy and would be my choice. |
thanks for your info. I just found this, which looks interesteing.
