Camcorder Recomendation Request for Club Environment

Hello, I am looking to gather recommendations for a camcorder that can shoot well in dark environments - specifically night clubs. I am currently using a small camera with video feature, but it does not produce great results. Here is an example video of the environment and current level of quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve_KvBNWzLs

I am not exactly clear on a price range, because I have seen it all over the place. I am not against spending $3,000, but I have no idea where to start. I am in no way a professional, but I like quality and do not like to work with sub-par stuff. My main concerns are a clear picture in the night club environment and HD functionality. In the future, I assume I will use it for more than just in dark environments - but this is my main concern for now.

At this point of my research, XH A1 seems to be my best option for price range. What do other think?

Thanks in advance :)

The XH A1 is a proven work horse, you can't go wrong with it.

You may also want to consider two Sony cameras (generally known for the best low light capability in this price range), the FX1 and the FX7.

Eric I have used my FX7 in this environment and it worked well.
Simple camera with great performance.

If you really what good low light the sony pd 170 is a great choice, but no hd. Hd cameras are generaly less sensitive then sd cameras.

An FX or VU would work great in that enviornment.. I have shot in complete darkness with good results with my FX. In that scene the video would be nice, very nice indeed. Just of course limit the gain...
