What You See

Hi, being new to this...just a quick question I could do with help on. Using a VX2000, what I see on the viewfinder bears no relationship to what I get from the tape. Is a lead from the composite out while videoing to a monitor/TV going to show exactly what is being recorded to the tape, or will it always be a guessing game.. and if not, will a small TV/Monitor be OK. thanks in advance for any help.

In what terms? Are you referring to color, scan area, both, neither? Please elaborate with specific details. Thanks,

I should point out that I bought the camera 2nd hand. picture darker. color differant. I was thinking of setting back the camera to its factory defaults. what do you think.

Not certain why this thread is in this location but here goes.

Reset the camera and then change the operation until what you get on tape resembles what you expect when you sit down to the editing system or to view the results on your TV.

Understand that the LCD displays of the VX-2000 are not ever going to look the same as an analog TV using a CRT.
