How to light a standing chroma key subject

Hello Everyone,

I have a 5x7 chroma key background that I have used well over 50 times and I am very comfortable getting a really good key when using it. I am usually shooting seated interviews.

I need to start shooting standing full body keys (Think "Get a Mac" ads). So I bought a 9x7x7 chroma background. The extra "7" is the runway that the talent stands on. I understand how to light my key and my subject separately. Here is my question:

How do you light a key when the subject IS STANDING ON THE KEY? In the tests that I have run I get shadows on the key around the talent.

I currently have Lowell lights 2 D-Lights 1,000 wts ea, 2 Totas 750 wts ea, 1 Softbox 1,000 wts, 1 softbox 450 wts (DL balanced),1 lowell pro 150 wts, 1 interfit softbox 1,000.

Do i need to get some low light softboxes?

Any advice welcome.

Thanks,
Lathe

Great stuff I appreciate the information. I wont be working with 'quite that' set up...but I'll do my best.
