Illustrator Q: can't move obj in layer

This has been bothering me since I've started using the Layer function in Illustrator 10.

I create a layer.

I put an object in the layer.

Sometimes (and I can't figure out when this is the case), I will try and move the object normally with its layer activated. But I won't be able to! I will drag it, and then when I let it go, it will return.

If I select the layer above it (or any other layer), and then try and move that object, I can!

This is driving me nuts.

Someone tell me how to stop doing this.

i actually tried this one for like an hour yesterday. trying to duplicate the error. i couldn't.

this would be a question, if you haven't already, to post on adobe's forums. i always get an answer on there if you can't find the issue you're looking for.
