NTSC Mini DV converted favour?

HI there....this is a bit a personal favour actually! I recently returned from a skydiving course in Florida, and was given the video tape from some of our jumps. However, didnt really give it much thought, and I cannot play it as it is NTSC format. Doh! Would anyone be kind enough to convert it to PAL for me, or to digitise the footage so I can have it as an AVI etc. ? WOuld be really handy if someone can help me out? : )

Thank you for the offer...Im guessing you are in the US? I guess I can't digitise the footage for you to download? Wasent sure if you then put this onto tape that it would play normally on a NTSC player?

Hi Mathew.............

From memory, most, if not all, VCR players in the UK will play NTSC material on standard UK tellies.

You should be able to take a component/ RGB (whatever) out from your VCR and feed it into whatever your weapon of choice is for capture/ editing.

Can't be more specific without having more info about what you have available.

PS: Just saw the "mini dv" bit in the title. If it is indeed mini dv and not a VHS tape, that's a different kettle of fish altogether.

Which is it?
