PAL - NTSC and back

I'm currently in Japan and shooting with a PAL XL1. All my gear is PAL but Japan uses NTSC. Does anyone know of any reliable software that can convert PAL to NTSC. My NLE system handles both but not in the same timeline for obvious reasons, 25fps vs 29.97fps.

Any ideas?

Canopus makes a DV converter. But once you've converted PAL to NTSC, you don't want to take it back to PAL again. Too much res. is then lost.

I second the nomination for the Canopus DV Format Converter. The only catch is, you'll need a Canopus card to run it. See www.justedit.com > Products > Software.

PC vs Mac

Hi guys,
As I recall from other threads the Canopus DV Format Converter is based on a PC platform. Any recommendations for Mac platforms?

PS. I am now the happy owner of a Canon XL1S PAL. I bought it in Denmark (Europe) a couple of days ago. It was about 3,300$ for the kit unfortunately it only came with a European warrantee. But the dealer tested it before I bought it and everything looks great.
