2/3" lens in 35mm?

Can someone tell me what a 6.5mm wide lens on a 2/3" SD camera, is equivalent in FOV to a 35mm image?

I don't know what to multiply by to find my answer.
Thanks,

-Bill

My math tells me a 71.2 mm lens in 35mm would have an equivalent FOV to a 6.5mm lens in 2/3".

This is based on a chart on the Cavision website that indicates that 7.3mm in 2/3" is 80mm in 35mm. This is based on information I have no control over so use at your own risk. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but I don't think so.

It's a wide lens, by my eye, I would say it looks to be somewhere between a 28mm to a 32mm.

Thanks,

Sorry, I was going by 35mm motion picture. My bad. And yes, a 6.5mm 2/3" would be a slight wide angle. A "normal" zoom lens on a 2/3" is normally about 8mm at the wide end.

Sorry, I should of clarified, 35mm in photography I guess.

Found my answer here :35mm Equivalent Focal Length Calculator

Multiply by 4.

So a 6.5 in 2/3" has the FOV of 26mm in 35mm.
