B&H Videos

Exactly why B&H has chosen to hide their instructional videos so carefully, I know not. But I stumbled upon an archive of one of their classes and found it extremely well done.

Here is a semi-direct link: B&H Photo Online Videos | Podcasts Look for "Introduction to Professional Video"

Casey Krugman starts off as how to determine what kind of work you want to do with the camera and then the strengths and weaknesses of camera technologies and codecs. I did find some instances where he misspoke or was incorrect but I am definately in his 'camp' as far as choosing the right camera for the job.

Yes it is odd, I subscribe to their newsletters so in a way I have access to updates etc... One would think they would push this type of "Marketing" hard, especially now in a down economy. It's not like they don't have the equipment!!

Thanks guys!

I'm glad you liked it! BTW, what am I getting wrong? Honestly I'm sick of hearing my own voice, so if there's something glaring that I'm just not seeing, I'd appreciate the heads up.

Thanks.

The one thing I remember is that you said progressive rather than interlaced--not sure exactly where but I think it was in the q&a section.

Something about comparing old NTSC to modern formats and motion capture. Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying.

Other things were just: "Hmm, I'm not sure if that's right."

More importantly, get those videos listed more prominently on the website!
