I can't tell you for sure about the rebate. I bought my GL2 before ethe rebate was in effect. I have been told by others that buydig was authorized. Ask Cannon.

Buy the DVX100. Clients are starting to hear about the 24p mode. It's the better choice for what you want over the VX2000.
