2.5X Tele Lens (58mm threading)

Hello everyone,

I'm a big fan of using high quality tele lens add-ons to increase the zoom capabilties of our dv camcorders. I have used a Sony "HG" 1.7x lens on a GL2 with excellent results....but now owning and using a Pan DVC80 with it's wide-angle lens has me at a slight loss for telephoto reach....I've searched high and low and found this on eBay which I find interesting:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2969935403&category=30069

It claims to have a 2.5X tele zoom factor which I find very unique as all I have ever found was a max of 2X with 1.7x more common still.......anyone ever hear of this tele lens and what sort of results were had? It has 58mm threads which mean it will thread on a GL2 and work with other camcorders with the appropriate step-up/down rings....
.....what do you guys think??

A winner or poor optical copy of a major brand?

That's interesting. Report back if you end up getting it.
I believe that Kenko makes a 3X and a 5X with 58mm threads. I've heard they're junk, though.
