Shooting a Solar eclipse

Hi,

has anyone shot a solar eclipse from start to finish. If so how did you do it ? What filters did you need to use? What precautions did you take?

Regards
Andrew

I once shot one in 35mm. I went to a welding shop and got welding filters, the size that will cover the entire front of your lens (usually used in masks). Get one for yourself so you can watch the event. These solar events happen so infrequently that it's a long time inbetween takes.

Good Luck

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

thanks for the tip.

Cheers

PS: Will contact you later this weekend, off to shoot an aerobatic display.
