Jvc Gr-dv3000u
I've been searching high and low about this new cam's manual shutter speeds. Does anyone know (besides JVsee)?
I'm also curious if it has a plastic lens. |
Frank, I'll get on the phone to some places here in Japan and see what I can find out for you.
|
Thanks, Adrian.
All I want to find out is: (1) What are its manual shutter speeds. (2) How wide is the lens, and is it a plastic lens. Much appreciated, The lone dag in Van |
No worries, I'll call tomorow (Monday here)

Frank I rang some places in Akihabara today to see what I could find out. SQUAT!!!! I spoke to 3 different places and all they did was quote me the Victor Japan web site. I could actually hear one guy ask for Panasonics web site address.

Thanks. Bad boy JVsee is definitely hiding the specs for the shutter speeds, and perhaps also a few other slap-stick shortcuts.

The manual states:
step mode: normal (1/60), 1/100, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000 var. mode : 1/60.1 to 1/2084.1 I don't have my hands on one to tell for sure. Sorry Frank, no slow shutter. I think it's almost the same with the DV500. And did they do the 1/100 thing for the 50Hz folks? Chris |
Thanks, Chris. But are you sure we are talking about the same camera here? The cam in question is a 1 CCD unit called the GR-DV3000U. The last 2 older models were the GR-DV2000U (last year's) and GR-DVL9800U (2 years ago). Both these cams only had manual shutter speeds from 1/60 to 1/250. The prior model to the GR-DVL9800 was called the GR-DVL9500, and had manual shutter speeds of:
1/7.5 1/15 1/60 1/120 1/250 1/500 The 1/30th shutter speed was missing. |
Sorry, my mistake. I usually have more than one a day, so I'll go look for the second one... Chris
