it would be difficult to recommend anything without knowing what he wants to do with it... taping a slow car going around the track like that, with the camera on the inside, isn't too demanding.

a company called i/o port racing used to make an scca-legal mount that bolts to the roll cage... that's what i use, but there are definite limits to how much roll cage vibration an operating video camera can handle... hence the idea of using a seperate camera for the video pickup... which is what i ended up doing a long time ago.

hard to tell how good the camera really is from an internet video clip.

not quite the same thign but you might be able to get good results with a cine saddle.
