New to DV... New to just plain V ; )~
Hello folks. I'm very new to filming (don't even want to call it that yet). I've recently started trying to create videos for our church.
My first attempt is here: http://www.gracejubilee.net/mothersday.wmv Just a quickie impromptu video - filmed with a JVC DV300 in 2 hrs & cut with Premiere Pro in 1 hr. I was hoping someone could give me advice on getting started in making short films & whatnot. I need info on how to start.. does it start with a script or a storyboard or just scratching down ideas on paper? What about arrangement - are there any golden rules for filming? I see from posts here that keeping the pace is important. I'm not looking to become a world renound director, I just want to create short movies that will keep someone entertained long enough to tell them something. |
I wouldn't know where to start, Ven!
But here's a website where you can read a lot about video or filmmaking: http://www.jamesarnett.com/sections.html From there, you'll have a ton of questions someone can answer over here. Welcome aboard! |
... and here's some more from the UK:
