location frustration

Okay, so I've had a short film I've been wanting to do for a while now. Written, pretty much ready to go.

However, I've been unable to find one of the locations I need for the story, an office environment.

I was wondering

(a) if anyone knows of anywhere in the Houston area where an office-y type of environment would be available for use. I'm looking for a rather drab atmosphere --white and greys everywhere, and some cubicles or doorless separate offices would be nice.

One thing I'd like to note is that if it's a religiously oriented organization (Catholic University, for example), it's probably not something y'all should recommend to me. The script, while not anti-religious in any way, has several jokes of a sexual nature, and, judging by the fact that I was unable to shoot at my alma mater for this reason (St. Thomas University), I doubt any religously oriented place/business/whatever will work out.

(b) if there's some website or something that would allow me to post that I was seeking such an environment. I haven't really seen anything like that. Craigslist.org and the Houston film Commission site don't really seem quite the appropriate place for such a post.

I'm not quite out of ideas on who else I can ask, but I thought posting here in the meantime couldn't hurt.

I don't live in Houston, but in Kansas City I've always managed to find locations just by networking with people. If you don't know any people who work in offices, see if you can find somebody who does and ask if you can shoot there on a weekend or something. Also, sometimes there are buildings with large vacant spaces, offices where people have moved out and nobody has moved in yet but the space has not been stripped down.

Maybe a commercial real estate agent could help with one of these vacant office buildings. Not sure why they would want to spend their time, but maybe you can barter some video work for them. Anyway, the worst they can say is "no".

Good luck.
