48 Hour Film Festival - Vancouver

Did any of the Vancouver members here participate in the Vancouver 48 Hour Film Festival this past weekend?

Nope didn't even know about it. I had my first film open at Tinsel Town this weekend, so I probably could not have competed.... geez the cool stuff always happens when I don’t have time...

The film that played this weekend is called "Let no one put us under" it is a documentary on same sex marriage debate in Canada. I start working on it because I wanted experience using nice equipment and the chance to learn a bit about how a film got made. The film played in the "out on film, film festival and I just found out we one the people choice award so I am super stoked.

On a side note, Dylan,
Long time no chat. We should hook up some time. Have a few cocktails.

I saw some people filming with a DVX100 infront of our car in kits(we were a block from lens and shutter). I thought they might be part of the Film Festival.

Hey guys!

Yeah, I DPed for a crew. Not sure how we did, I took off Monday for a camping/rafting trip, just got back yesterday. We pulled off a decent comedy effort, although it ended up running 15 mins and had to be cut back to 10. I haven't seen the final cut though.

Yeah long time! I'm up for a beer! Just got a big work week this week. Send me an email, I might be good for an afternoon if you've got a free lunch.

You know, it would be a blast to do the next Vancouver 24 or 48 hour film fest with an all DVinfo crew.... Hmmm..... :)
