What does this Ulead error mean?

Wanted to burn a home video into DVD with menu...
After Audio/Video multiplexing, an error message stated, "Some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames."
And I wasn't able to get the DVD burnt...

Someone please enlighten me...
Thanks...

FG,

I have been using MSP 6.0 for some time, and I have been unhappy with the included Ligos MPG encoder. I don't remember error messages, but the quality was marginal. I have been using TMPGEnc, and can get two hours of very good quality on one DVD. Download the trial and use CQ (Constant Quality) with a setting of 70-80. Do some short trials.

I also like TMPGEnc Author. It is inexpensive, flexible, and easy to use.

Maybe Ulead includes better MPG encoders today, but this works for me. Good luck!

Yeah, the MPGNow encoder included with the current version is many many times better than what they had in 6.0 ( Version 6 was written in 1999! Predates common use of DVD Burners.)

I've never received that error, but it sounds like you may have set a chapter point at or near the end of your video file and, for whatever reason, the video is shorter now after conversion. I suppose one possible senario that could cause this would be a NTSC -> PAL conversion. If you have a chapter point defined at something like 00:04:17.27 and you convert to PAL, the software might get confused because there is no frame 27 in PAL video (only 25 fps).

What version are you using?
What are the specs of your source file?
What specs have you defined for your DVD project?
