How do I delete my thread?

I couldn't find a general forum for this question, so sorry about posting it here. But does anyone know how to delete a thread that I started?

I tried clicking on "Edit" then "Edit" again and even the "Go Advanced" button but there is NO delete option, I also just tried delting all the text then hitting save changes but then it said "Not enough characters entered".

DOh, the FAQ just says to use the "Edit" button but as I said there is no delete option that I can find.

Please instruct, thanks;)

if I remember correctly you get about 30 minutes to edit a post before it gives a "lasted edited" at such a such a time marker. Then, after (I think) 24 hrs you cannot delete or (even edit) your post as that option then no longer is available. I guess it's a way to ensure threads remain exactly that, anyone can follow the discussion days, weeks or months in the future (after the individual posts were planted). If people went in later and highly modified their posts or deleted them the meaning gets lost/confused....so write it well and be to the point and keep on subject is a good rule that I try to follow.

Just ask a Mod to do it for you if you need it deleted - we all make mistakes sometime!

We don't offer the option to delete threads, but sometimes we will withdraw them from public view if there's a compelling reason. Use the Report Post function to submit the request (it's the little "!" icon to the left of any post). State in clear terms exactly why it should be withdrawn. We'll evaluate it and make the determination from there. If it's a matter of removing incorrect information, this is best handled simply by posting a follow-up reply containing the corrected info. Hope this helps,
