Name of portable S-vhs recorder?

I need a portable svhs recorder for depos. I can't seem to find anything when searching yahoo. Does anyone know what I need and where to find it?

I do not believe there are any more portable S-VHS recorders being built. There are hardly any S-VHS recorders being built in any format.

You can find some used S-VHS decks. A good source would be the plug-on VCRs that were used with camera heads.

Just a question: Are the courts capable of displaying S-VHS? Most work I've known about (I'm no expert) was all VHS.

If the monitor has an S-Video input (which is pretty common today for DVD) then it can show S-VHS. Panasonic made the AG-7400 and AG-7450 (?), which were both portable, battery powered decks. They also had AC capability as well.

Good luck finding a portable S-V deck. You'd probably be better off with a clamshell type Mini-DV deck.

If you haven't seen the post, take a look at this article http://www.videosystems.com/mag/video_court_tv/

It has a list of all equipment used by these folks to cover depos.

Really, the only reason I would need an svhs backup is for the video co.s that like to keep an svhs master or give one to the atty. I guess for the "better quality" and maybe lasts longer. Thanks for the replies. I think I may not use one at all.
