On 3rd party batteries...
On Friday night, I charged up 3 Empire batteries for the next day. I put the first one in, it died almost immediately. Same with the second one. The third ran for a few minutes, then died.
These are replacement for the BP 915 Canon GL1 batts, I paid around $30 each for them almost 3 years ago. So I saved about $70 per battery, and got 3 years out of them. Not too shabby... I'm just really happy I didn't need them for a job. |
3 years is a long time, especially with regular use. I've been using a no-name 3 hr Ebay battery on my little Panny for about 8 months now with no noticable drop-off in shooting or standby time.

Mine went almost 2 years before dropping. Not bad I guess.

I expect original batteries wouldn't last any longer. So you saved some money.

I don't know about that Darko... The original BP 915 that came with it, is still running at peak. As far as I can tell anyways.

by the way which brand of batteries is doing good these days
