"Atlanta Folks"

I will be in town on the weekend of the 31st. Are there any stores where I could get my hands on a XL2 or DVx100..I'm at the point that I need to see one of these close up. Thanks

Showcase, on Cheshire Bridge Rd:

http://www.showcaseinc.com/site/

I went there to compare cams before I bought my DVC80 and they were very helpful.

Second on Showcase. I am renting a VX2100 this weekend for a shoot. I know they also have a PD170 in that pool.

Their website is horrible! I didn't know that they had those cameras. The ONLY video camera shown/listed on their website for sale is the XL2.

Their website is pretty bad, but the store was good and the staff was very helpful. They have been in Atlanta for a long time -- I wouldn't judge them based on the site,

They had the DVX100 and DVC80 when I was there -- over a year ago, I must admit, and their website had even less info back then! They had the PD150, a GL2, the DVX100, the DVC80, an XL1s, and more -- it was fairly well stocked for video folks, even though the website didn't reflect that fact. I don't see why they wouldn't still carry the DVX100a... Since the site is of questionable quality, and based on how poor it was a year ago, I wouldn't rule out that they might have the DVX100 on hand.

Well I went to Showcase this past Saturday and I was very impressed with the place. Thay had alot of cool stuff. I found a wide angle adapter for my Optura 20, which they promptly made a deal on too. Nice folks, I would reccomend this place to all...
Thanks for the info...

Peace
