Using Computer as Mixer
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if there was anyway to use a computer as a mixer? Are there any programs out there that can do that? thanks, dave |
Yes there is. I have used New Tech’s Video Toaster (both Classic and Version 2) configured as a video/audio mix. These were both vary good systems for the task although you definitely want to designate a computer just for Toaster as it is quite picky.

A PC program called Isodora supposedly does this. I haven't tried it.
Channel Storm on Mac does this too, but it seems designed for streaming. |
Yeah, I am interested in Mac-based programs.

Channel Storm has a free trial so you can try it out. I wasn't able to figure out if it can record DV quality, but try it out. For what it does, it rocks.

Yeah I know, I was playing around with it. Its really cool. But if I output it to a TV or a huge screen will it lose quality. Becuz the broadcast's window is pretty small. Not enough quality. I will need i bigger better resolution.
