video taping conference... need advice

i will be video taping a conference tomorrow (academic) and wanted people's opinion.

I have included a layout of the room that i will be taping and various positions that are available to tape from.

I have only recently finished a multimedia diploma and it is my first gig in video production. A little nervous, but i gather i need to get my hands dirty if i will learn anything and when/where better to start!

The inital question is .....

Which angle would you shoot from? (see attached pic)

www.acornproductions.com.au/layout.htm

I will also be required to scout for interviews during the day.

Any advice, suggestions tips or tricks are welcome!

Links to online discussions or articles would be helpful as I will myself be hunting all night for help to make tomorrow go smoother.

Thanks guys

How many cameras do you have?

one:
Shoot just the speaker and lock off the tripod.
Place the camera off to the side so you can shoot the speaker and people asking questions. (that would be #6?)

Two:
I suggest having one locked off shot you can always cut to.

2- Figure out what your goal is. What are you trying to show, or what does your audience want to see.

From there you can figure out what shots you need, what to ask in interviews, etc.
