Chromakey in Flash?

Anyone know if you can chromakey in Flash (MX 2004)?

I'd like to take a video clip and mask out the solid background. The video clip is a CG rendering, so it should work like chromakeying in an NLE, but I have a feeling that this isn't possible in Flash as of now.

Okay, after some research on www.flashkit.com, I figured I'd share my findings...

[There is no direct way to chromakey in Flash]

Workarounds:

1. Simulate effect by chromakeying in NLE; add same background as what's used in your Flash movie (solid backgrounds are best) a layer below your chromakeyed clip; export out of your NLE; and add movie clip onto your Flash movie with the same background in place. This isn't a perfect workaround, since you can perceive aliasing and digital artifacts depending on your compression rate.

2. Export your movie as a sequence of .gif's, .png's, or .tga files and import the sequence into your Flash movie; publish; apply one of the commercially available .swf optimizers on the published .swf file to compress filesize (by a lot).

Hope this helps someone out! If anyone has any other ideas, it'd be great to hear them!
