Wireless video transmission

Anybody have any ideas for this? Basically want to take video out off the camcorder to an attached transmitter and send it to a receiver that plugs in to a video projector for display on a big screen. Thanks for any input.

Nobody seems to know

This thread did not get much feedback.

Ouch, I see that. I'm not looking to record, just display.

Transmission seems to be the bottleneck

It appears the problem is getting video to the destination device, whether it be a projector or computer.

You might be able to use any number of options available from video security companies. http://www.supercircuits.com/index.a...S&Category=312 and http://www.eyespyvideo.com/wireless/...ssproducts.htm are two that I've dealt with in the past. Some transmitters require an FCC permit and others don't, depending on the output power. I purchased one of the low cost 2.4Ghz units to do some testing and was impressed with the results, but outside interference and physical obstructions can be a problem.

Much thanks Ed!

my experience. i've used one of the 2.4ghz transmitter (1 watt) when flying with my magiqcam. result was dissapointing. when the place is not crowded with people, not much signal breaking up. once the hall is fill up, the signal just not stable. i've tried placing both antenna on two lightstands, result did not improve. have not try the higher watt transmitter but will be testing a more powerful antenna later this month or so. will let you know whats the outcome.

Please do Ed, and thank you for posting as I looked at those.

I've seen results with some of the low end systems and they're dissappointing. Like others said, in a clean room they work, in a crowded room they don't.
