editing 24p

What editing software will work with the new panasonic 24p camera?

Still trying to sort all of this info out!!

All, ..because the camera only outputs a 60i (3:2 pull down in case of 24p) format through a firewire connection. FCP (I think) promises to get a NLE which will convert back to 24p.

Yes, FCP will do it with Apple Cinema Tools. Check out the Panasonic DVX100 forums here. There are some PC apps. that will work also. I believe they are listed on one of the threads.

The current (September 2002) issue of Videography Magazine features a cover story on Final Cut Pro and its companion Cinema Tools package that enables 24p editing. I think you'll find it worthwhile, given your interest.
