camerawamera

hi
apologies for newbie q's!
iv been using a borrowed XL1 for a while, but the time is approaching to get my own camera.
i'd love an XL2, but i think thats beyond my bread for the time being.
i generally shoot stuff to be quite heavily manipulated in post. i'm not that interested in recording sound, or HD. but 24p seems right up my alley. and i need a good lense.
can anyone suggest the best solution for these requirements without busting my wallet too much?
many thanks,
alex

Well the XL2 is surely expensive but there arent that many choices for you if you would want to shoot 24p, the panasonic ag dvx100a is around $3,000 right now after the $300 rebate. And its a great camera, I dont think you could go wrong with it (has a great lens as well).

In these very forums, someone is selling a nice XL1s package for around the same price. Check out the private classified section.
