DV/HDV Cameras

Hello everybody. I have another basic question. If I were to get a HDV camera, such as the Sony HDR-FX1, would I be able to watch the video on a standard TV? I am only wondering this because the HDV cameras offer such higher pixels per CCD. Thank you, Clint Grant

Yes, but if you want to see through component at SD, go into the IN/OUT REC menu and select 480i, not 1080i/480i, in the component tab. as for tapes, yes, it will play SD DV in SP and LP.
I wait for the day cost-efficient global shutter 60fps capable CMOS sensors emerge for use on major manufacturers' cameras. (Sony, Canon, etc.) Rolling Shutters are a plague.
