Recommendation for captioning software

My company is developing a DVD which must have captioning available. Since I have the script typed I was thinking that I could do the captioning. I am trying to find out what the best captioning software would be for this project. The person developing the DVD tells me to select software that works with QuickTime and is compatible with Final Cut Pro editing software. Does anyone have any suggestions for captioning software or can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks, Gladys
