Paul.
We do live in exciting times. I had the satisfaction a few years ago of seeing one of the first chips in the real. It garnered some discussion here on dvinfo at the time. I recall it was then called the smart filter. I had a play with an early generation non-operative chip which I situated on the aerial image plane ( where the groundglass goes ) of a home-made AGUS35 35mm adaptor attached to a Sony Z1. I gave undertaking not to discuss what the camera actually saw but I can confirm my DNA has landed on one such chip. I drifted from keeping myself up to date with their developments. It is good news they now have some development partners. I must enquire if they want to put one on a SI2K, which is already good for about 11 f-stops. |
