Hello all,

For my first post I would like to express my most sincere thanks to many of you for sharing your skills and taking the time to make this web forum an invaluable resource.

As an absolutely new guy to making pictures-that-move I am grateful to surnames like Gold, Ford and Soucy.

Without the effort made by those who have real world experience and are willing to “lay it on the line” web forums become cliquish gatherings without direction.

When (if) I can offer anything constructive to the collective I will, otherwise I will move back to “lurk mode:” Read, learn and hopefully at some point produce usable, perhaps even enjoyable work.

Welcome aboard, Pat! With time, you'll become familiar with many more names as well, including Blackhurst, Hurd, Ostroff, Hardwick, Bloom, Hickling, Roemich and many more who have basically taught me everything I know.

Good luck with your new cams -- I know the previous owner and he babied them and is a helluva brilliant guy ;->.

To find myself listed with some of the cream of the crop here on DVinfo, Christmas morning to boot!

(You sure you got the right guy?).

Nothing wrong with "lurk mode", I did it for years before coming out of the closet.
