Renting MacBook Pros ...

Hey Everyone,

Can anyone give me a lead on a good place to rent some MacBook Pros for a project?

I know I can just Google it but I thought maybe one of you would have some experience with a good rental house.

Thanks,

George

George, why rent a MacBook Pro when you can spend thousands of dollars and actually OWN one?!

Oops, sorry. The Apple fanboy in me flared up again. I would be taking my own advice if I had thousands of dollars lying around with nothing to do.

I don't have any experience renting an MBP, though. Good luck with your search.

Given how fast technology moves, rather then trying to rent a MBP, why not buy a USED one. Chances are what a rental company will try to rent you is the older technology anyways and they will charge you like your renting a brand new state of the art machine.

Quick check of my local used site and $1250 is what I found for 2.4GHZ intel core 2 duo with 4GB of ram.

A rental of a 2.3GHz and only 2GB of Ram from the local pro camera store is $150 a day.

Case and Point: So unless your really only going to use your MBP for less than a week, buying a used one is the better deal.
