NTSC to PAL

I want to get an XM2, but I live in the States. If I buy a GL2, is there a program out there that will convert NTSC to PAL? Mainly because I want to shoot in 24p, but 25p is as close as it gets for the GL2 (XM2). Forgive me if this has come up before, I'm quite new to the forum.

I don't think this makes sense, unless I don't understand you. You want to convert to PAL just to get 25 frames per second, not because you want to produce PAL content? If you really want that, you can buy PAL cameras in the US - B&H photo sells them. The Sony HVR-Z1 will also shoot in PAL, NTSC and HDV modes, but costs a lot more than a GL-2. True, DVFilm Atlantis will convert NTSC to PAL also.

But unless you really want to produce video to be used in a PAL country this isn't a very good idea. If you want 24p you could buy a DVX-100a, although it's also more expensive than a GL-2. But probably the best solution would be using software to create 24p, and not 25p. DVfilm Maker and other programs can do this:

Ah ok, I got ya. I'll just use that, or Vegas 6.0 since both can convert to 24p.
