Need Teleprompter ASAP

So I need to pick up a teleprompter as soon as possible. I will be using it with my sony hvr v1u. Just shooting interviews. I am pretty unsure as to where to get one. I looked at a few on B and H but I just don't have the information yet to make a decision. I really don't need anything fancy. Just something that will keep my subjects eyes on the lens and not in the sky. I live in phoenix and cannot find anyone in the valley who sells them. Any suggestions?

I just checked out prompterpeople.com and it looks like they have what I will need. Has anybody heard anything bad about the teleprompters that use the ipad?

I personally would never buy a prompter that didn't have a rampable dial scroll controller. I believe this leaves out the iPrompters...

And remember to use the utility for calculating how big a prompter you need based on distance. Lots of people "cheap out" and buy too small a prompter.

I was just looking at this one. ProPrompter HDi | ProPrompter | Bodelin Technologies
It looks like you can have easy functionality with the scrolling through their app. What do you think? Looks very solid in the video.

digitaljuice.com usually has pro prompter on sale.

Its currently the same price as prompterpeople.com at 899.

Useless for what I need it for. No scroll control dial, too small to be used past MAYBE 8 feet. The smallest I would CONSIDER would be a 15" prompter and I'd probably go larger. Use the app on prompterpeople to see what size you NEED.

Take into consideration: will you need AC power? Will you have the time and space to set up a laptop? Will you be handheld? Does it have to be on a jib or Steadicam? Is it a long read? What's your distance to the camera? Is it in a studio or outdoors in bright sunlight? Will you have an assistant?

Well. Finally decided to go with the prompterpeople ipad teleprompter. Much cheaper and after talking to both companies, it seemed the differences were miniscule. It just works for my situation. Shooting within 8 feet. Thanks for the advice.

FYI, here's another iPad prompter. I saw this at NAB and mentioned it in another thread on this forum:

http://www.bodelin.com/proprompter/product_hdi/

Very nicely made and a well thought-out, compact design.

If you're on a budget, just use a laptop.
I've used the expensive high end ones and my 13" Macbook. I thought the Macbook was less headache.
