I once saw something posted online, where a film student was given "murder in 8 shots" as an assignment. I thought it was a very interesting idea so it stuck with me. I was wondering if anyone had any similar challenges they could suggest.

Here's a list of assignments my teachers have given me over the past two years. See if you can come up with something different.

-Short w/ specific theme
-Interview
-Documentary
-Animation
-Silent film
-Individual project (can be anything but you work without a team)
-Cut-to-sound (can be anything that's edited to a pre-existing soundtrack)
