Seeking guidance for online video specifications
 

Hi all,

I'm considering a subscription-based video training service on my server and would appreciate your advice and counsel regarding your experiences and suggestions. Specifically, I'd be curious to hear about any of you who offer higher resolution picture sizes and frame rates.
So, here's a test video I've uploaded to YouTube which allows flipping resolutions including:
240, 360, 480 and 720 (I encoded the source video at 1280x720 at 15 fps using h.264)

FYI - while this YouTube content and capture gear does not pertain to my target audience (I was using a portable Flip Ultra HD 1280x720 for talking head), the Camtasia animated screen capture does represents my challenge to view card animation.

I'd appreciate your feedback on acceptable screen resolution, performance/throughput, ability of your PC to handle graphic display, etc when viewing the card animations.
Personally, in full screen display I find 360 just so-so for a short period but wouldn't want to watch it very long as a paying subscriber. To me, 480 is okay while 720 is really preferred.
I'd also appreciate your personal experience dealing with your higher-end video needs for your target audience.

Here's what I'm envisioning for the high-end videos:

16:9, 1280/720, 10 fps, slow motion (talking head), Sorenson codec = 768 Kbps video + 40 Kbps audio = 808 Kbps FLV bitrate, recommended speed = 970Kbps

For lower-end videos, I'm thinking scaling down to 640/360 at 10 fps = 250 Kbps
(I understand 320/180 at 98 Kbps works fine for many of your needs)
