Creating a DVD menu in 720p ? Or its only NTSC, PAL ? at DVinfo.net

I am currently making a dvd in 720p and now I was working on the DVD main menu (on After Effect and Encore), and I heard that it need to be in NTSC D1 or PAL... Is it true ? Will I need to do my DVD in the same setting also or I can let it in 720p or i will have to render it out in NTSC D1 after ? I am almost done with the menu, I dont want to start it again haha...

You won't be making a DVD in 720P. It isn't possible. The DVD spec only supports standard definition.
