3CCD HD camcorders?
 

I need a new camera for my A/V helicopter. Need HD, want 3 ccd and need to be under 4 pounds. That can be without the Mic . I have a V1U I will be selling along with wirless mics and getzo tripod .
I want to get away from Cmos. Any suggestions?

Ideally you would do this the other way around.

Find a camera that can give you the image quality you're looking for. Then find or build an aircraft that's capable of lifting it.

While CMOS has the risk of "jello cam", there are camera mounts that can isolate the camera from vibration. It requires customizing the mount's springs and shocks according to the weight of the camera.

Also, making sure everything is dynamically balanced, and the main rotor blades precisely tracked, will help eliminate vibrations at the source.

There are also some single-chip cameras that can provide a wonderful image. Of course RED is right up there, but the weight is prohibitive.

I have the mount(photshipone2XPT), heli(Trex 600 streched to 700), its balanced and no vibes, and Im using a Sony HDR-HC9. Its ok, but I was thinking of upgrading to a T2i like everyone else, but then I want to make sure about my choice. I say 4lbs because thats about as big a payload I want to haul around

Photoship One is supposed to have another mount coming out that allows for 3-axis stabilization and control?

The Panasonic HMC150 uses CCD and is about 3.5 pounds.

The JVC HM100 is also light enough and has 3CCDs.
