How do they do this video effect?

Is it like some kind of quick-cutting between two side by side camera's?

Yup. Looks like it was shot in 3D and then the two (slightly different perspectives) were edited into a 2D video. Disturbing effect. I fee like I'm gonna have a seizure! ha ha. As with all effects, maybe best in small doses. :o)

Suits the song really well ..

Initially thought it was a video suffering from a lot of lag!

There's a bit at about 3:20 where the young lady is standing in front of the ocean with the horizon in the distance, and you can clearly sea the background move laterally relative to the young lady, so definitely two cameras and not an effect.

As for the song, I didn't realise they still made music like that (I feel very old having typed that) but it is a compelling song for all its edgy harshness. As for the video, it would take some one very young to dare to put out that wobbly style and call it art.

I'm not a huge fan of this band although i really like this song and i really love the edgy video, the harsh setting/visuals and the double cam effect. Thanks all for chiming in and taking a look.

I liked it too.
Interesting effect, because the two side-by-side images weren't just cut together - that would have given a harsh jump. It wasn't a mix either...

Don't think they are CUTTING between two side-by-side cameras... I think they are morphing between them. The "softness" of the transition between the two "gives it away" to me.
