Advice on shooting through car window

Hey all,

I have a client that wants to mimic a shot in this video (skip to 25 seconds) of a subject being shot through a car window:

I tried it today by mounting my GoPro to the front of the car, but the face of the driver couldn't be seen due to reflections

On the example above, the reflections seem minimal compared to my attempt.

Does anyone have any advice on steps I could take to minimise reflections? The client wants their face to be seen through the window, like in the above example.

I'm limited to using my GoPro as I don't have a way to mount my other cameras on the car, so changing exposure settings isn't an option.

Thanks in advance :)

Hey Jody,

I've used a polarizing filter before for shooting through glass or reducing water reflections. You can get them for GoPros (a quick amazon.co.uk search shows at least one), but I can't vouch for how well they work on a GoPro.

Thanks Mike. I was just reading about these, might be worth a try. Thanks!

Quick update - I picked up a cheap polarizing filter today and it worked well. Thanks again for the tip, Mike :)
