Are you editing on Linux?

With your indulgence, I would like to find out how many others here are editing on the Linux platform, or considering doing so. The intention, if there is enough of us, is to ask for a Linux section.

I have been using Kdenlive for a year and a half with very few problems and some fine results. I was using Sony Vegas Pro 9, but I don't miss it at all, in fact I now prefer Kdenlive. I have used it on several Linux distributions and have settled on PCLinuxOS64 as my favourite.

A number of Linux users are using Lightworks a professional NLE, which available on Windows and soon Mac.

Yeap, Lightworks with Linux is something I will be looking at closer. I currently use Vegas Pro 12, but didn't upgrade to 13, so things will probably start getting a bit more sticky as time passes and Sony abandon updates to 12..

Last time I looked at Kdenlive, it seemed pretty rudimentary, but that was a few years back.

I found the same and went back to Windows for video editing, but things have moved on a long way since then. Kdenlive is now a very capable NLE.

I have not tried Lightworks.
