Deconstructing Michael Bay - Bayhem

A very nice deconstruction of what it is Michael Bay does:

Re: Deconstructing Michael Bay - Bayhem

And LENS FLARES!!! I can't believe he forgot LENS FLARE!!!

<wink>

I have noted how "busy" some of these "action" movies have become... it's almost TOO much stuff going on sometimes, most of it completely in special effects where everyone in "real life" would be... DEAD... but that wouldn't make for much of a movie, would it now?

Interesting study on camera techniques though!

Re: Deconstructing Michael Bay - Bayhem

I certainly thought so. Even the mention that one of Michael Bay's serious flaws is he doesn't seem to realize when to take a break from the dynamic shots - note the mention of how he does it, whether the character has something important to say, or not.
