Wireless 1080 HD on a budget? Is it possible?

I work for a small (underfunded) school district in Western NC. We are trying to put together a low budget multi camera broadcast package using a Canon XA20 and a Sony NX3. I have had some success with a single camera (XA 20) using a Magewell XI100DUSB-HDMI HDMI to USB 3.0 Video Capture Dongle and a 50' HDMI cable. The 2nd camera really needs to be able to move unhindered by cables to gather cutaway shots along the sidelines and in the crowds during sporting events.

I have stumbled upon this
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/996953-REG/idx_sony_cw_1_wireless_hdmi.htmlas a possible solution. I would then use a 2nd Magewell to input the video from the receiver into my laptop.

Does anyone have any experience with this wireless set up? The IDX system would be at the very limit of our budget so it would have to be a perfect solution. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Forum sponsor CMR has a very similar solution, check them out and they'll be happy to give you some feedback on it. I demoed it at nab and it may be the best solution under $1k. At least at the time.
SmallHd just released something but quite a bit more.

Quite a lot of people have had good experience with the Nyrius Aries Pro.. search for it and you'll find threads about it.
