Review/annotation software? at DVinfo.net

I'm looking to be able to review movies, grab timecode, make notes, and also be able to have a client view it, review it and make notes. Something similar to the older DV Creators Movie Note Taker, but updated and with more functionality.
Free is good, or something that allows me to use current production software in this manner would be good. (Premiere CS5).
Also, preferably a tool that is an offline program (I guess for client review, online capability would make sense though).
Free or cheap is good. Mac.
What do you all use for this purpose?

Hmm... 69 views, no comments.... I take it that this is an issue for a lot of you and not just me?
Has anyone found a creative solution?

What then is the most efficient way in general that you have found to:
1) review footage and make notes
2)have your client review footage and make notes?

As an added note, I have a large number of stills I would like to do this on as well for something.

The way I handle that is to do a TC burn of my master footage to a low rez file if a client needs a copy to review and make notes on. I'll share that via file sharing site or via my own servers.

For myself I use the tools inside Media Composer to enter any shot data and markers that I need to track. That makes sure that any data I enter is online and available during the edit session.

Would using the metadata tools in CS5 not work?

Thank you for posting that, Chris.
I love that guy - his videos are always really great.
I can make it work within Premiere.if need be. Still getting used to the program. Plan to be learning Avid, after tat. Bridge was a good tool for reviewing and making all of those notes. If only Bridge had more tools like that for video.

The part in the video about using a script with it was very helpful - some good possibilities there.

I was just hoping there was something out there that made my (and the client's) review process easier, and what people's methods are.

There's always a way to make it work though!
