DSLRs that record video to dual cards?
 

Do any fullframe DSLRs record video to dual cards?
So tired of external recording just for backup (with my 5d3 and ninja star).

No dslrs that i know of have dual. You can shoot with multiple cameras and cards to limit the risk. One camera closeup other full body or wider as your safety shot. lose one not great but not the end of the world.

Hi Pete, thanks for that info.

I already do use multiple cameras at certain times. Prefer leaving the one card in there and using the external recorder but it gets so cumbersome. I recently got a Varavon cage for the ninja star to be properly mounted. With that I cant use a grip so only one battery. Got a varavon external battery then and not happy with the weight and look of the camera now not to mention the flimsy weak connection on the varavon.

Much preferred flying under the radar and appearing like a photographer.

No way. All my lovely L lenses getting cropped like that. Id be better off with a Canon EOS Rebel SL1 and change in my pocket... :)

Guess it depends on your definition of "better off":<))

I sprang for a C100 (Mk1) when they cut the price and I love it. Even if my "L" lenses get trimmed a bit around the edges. Having built-in ND and real buttons is a wonderful thing indeed.

Of course, I wholeheartedly agree Jim and TBH Im not even sure what the video on a camera like that SL1 is like. If its similar to my 70d then its pretty good assuming the finished product is for either DVD or web.

I do remember the ease of use of using proper video cameras.
Even messing around with changing lenses is a pain these days.

But when I get home and edit the footage (particularly the 5d3 stuff) it feels so worth it at that stage of the process. Its a pleasure to be dealing with such gorgeous footage.

I think my next camera with be one of the Sony A7 range. I hope the colors are as good as the Canons though
