Solving my Small HD Dp4 monitor hood issue
2 Attachment(s)
Well, I have two Small HD Dp4s and tried to use their velcro hood but it doesn't keep the shape, it also would sag etc, driving me nuts. I think the new Small HD monitors have hard hoods that attach to the outside. But after contacting BH and Small HD, I was stuck.
So I put my two minds together and found these moldable plastic sheets on Amazon. Found here, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L0U7JCQ/dvinfo09-20 They are really easy to heat and mold. So I came up with what's in the picture. The plastic is pretty lightweight. I'm sure other can find uses for these plastic sheets, so I hope my idea helps others. I still need to clean it up a bit, and I may do another one with some modifications, but I'm pleased with how it came out. |

What holds the hood onto the monitor?
Do you have a link for purchasing the plastic you used? - Greg |
Re: Solving my Small HD Dp4 monitor hood issue
Hey Greg,
I cut thin strips of velcro to hold it around the monitor. The other thing I did was bend the material to squeeze the monitor, let the material cool and it actually hugs the monitor. Hope that helps. |

Thanks. I'll order some of that and see what I can come up with.
