Solving my Small HD Dp4 monitor hood issue

Well, I have two Small HD Dp4s and tried to use their velcro hood but it doesn't keep the shape, it also would sag etc, driving me nuts. I think the new Small HD monitors have hard hoods that attach to the outside. But after contacting BH and Small HD, I was stuck.

So I put my two minds together and found these moldable plastic sheets on Amazon. Found here, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L0U7JCQ/dvinfo09-20

They are really easy to heat and mold. So I came up with what's in the picture. The plastic is pretty lightweight.

I'm sure other can find uses for these plastic sheets, so I hope my idea helps others. I still need to clean it up a bit, and I may do another one with some modifications, but I'm pleased with how it came out.

What holds the hood onto the monitor?

Do you have a link for purchasing the plastic you used?

Hey Greg,

I cut thin strips of velcro to hold it around the monitor. The other thing I did was bend the material to squeeze the monitor, let the material cool and it actually hugs the monitor. Hope that helps.

Thanks. I'll order some of that and see what I can come up with.
