Video Glasses

This is kind of gimmicky I'm sure, but has anyone ever tried filming with one of these connected to your camera's video output?

Olympus FMD-200 Eye Trek Video Glasses:

Supposedly you put one on and it's supposed to seem like you're looking at a big screen t.v. 6 feet away. If the colors are good and it's as light on your head as the reviews suggest, it could be a neat way of immersing yourself into whatever you're recording.

Sure, it seems like a dorky idea... but someone out there must have tried it!

Using the search function (little button in upper right) I found this thread that might be of interest.

Silly me I was searching by product name instead of the obvious - video glasses.
Thanks
