HELP!!! 3CCD 1/2" sony camera head tested, !horizontal lines!
I was recently testing a Sony 1/2" 3CCD camera head. (DXC-327) with a back adapter to it that outputs s-video. Upon watching the video feed through another moniter i see that the video has horizontal bands (lines) running across the screen, just horiznotal lines flashing. I tested it with a lens and the lens picks up image and the colors are fine. Its just that these lines are flashing across constanly, even if there is no lens, and the cap covers the ccds. I do not understand whats going on. and it is not the s-video connectin nor the back adapter because i pressed a switch that outputs the color bars, and those run through to the moniter fine. any ideas what is happening? are these horizontal lines happening because something isnt set right? or is the camera busted? thanks

Something's not right. Can you post a screen shot? I have never used a camera adapter, only a DSR-1 VTR. Perhaps it is a bad connection between the camera head and the adapter? But that seems unlikely, too.

here are 2 grabs, i included a brightened image of both because its kinda hard to make out the lines. The first 2 pictures are supposed to be the leg of my piano but it was too dark. the others are just with the cap covereing the ccds.

Strange. It looks like interference. I don't know what it could be, otherwise.
